About Fisher's Plant Service

Fisher’s Plant Service began its interiorscape services in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1980. Service expanded to Iowa City and Muscatine in the next few years. This was followed by Dubuque and Cedar Falls/Waterloo. Next, requests came for our skills in Des Moines and Quad City metro areas followed by requests from businesses in Ames, Iowa. Hence, we cover central and eastern Iowa.

Our team is lead by “hands on” owner, Jerrol Fisher. He has two bachelor degrees from Iowa State University; a double major in Horticulture/Entomology as well as a double major in Plant Pathology/Pest Management. He was a former Regional Entomologist for the State of Iowa before establishing Fisher’s Plant Service. Over the years he has received national level awards for both project designs as well as client services. 

Fisher’s Plant Service offers consulting, design, sales/installation, leasing, and guaranteed maintenance services. Clients may choose from weekly or biweekly care programs. Regular plant maintenance includes watering, fertilizing, grooming (dusting, cleaning, pruning), pest control, and plant replacements. We incorporate silk plants when necessary. Our team prides itself for being a turn-key operation.

A signature for FPS is the use of blooming plants, especially bromeliads. This gives great pizazz to an interiorscape. Fisher’s also creates beautiful holiday décor including options to lease themed trees, wreaths, and more.
